Bangladesh, KhulnaThe project in brief
Work does not represent exclusively a source of income but becomes a tool for social inclusion to overcome obstacles to the affirmation of one's identity. "Dalit" is an NGO from Bangladesh that works for the development of the outcast minority of Dalits: classified as untouchables, they are relegated to the margins of society to exercise professions considered impure, as well as deprived of political representation and decision-making power and of the most basic rights, such as education and health. In this regard, Dalit NGO has created a system for promoting human rights and empowerment of women through agricultural activities, craft workshops and IT laboratories. In this way, work does not represent exclusively a source of income, but becomes a tool for social inclusion to overcome obstacles to the affirmation of one's identity and to combat the phenomenon of early marriage.
