Where
Lebanon, BeirutThe project in brief
Actions aimed at combating school exclusion and social hardship of vulnerable children and women in the Naba'a neighborhood. Naba'a is a suburb of Beirut, a historically Shiite Muslim and Armenian Christian area, one of the most vulnerable in the country. Since the end of the civil war in the 1990s, Asian and African migrants have arrived in the neighborhood to work in the factories and artisan workshops of the area: since then Naba'a has become a cultural, religious and political melting pot.
The project is carried out by a local NGO of Syrian origin, B&Z Basmeh & Zeitonee.
Our contribution
