The project in brief

Axé is "the energy that moves everything". This Yorubà word does not represent just an homage to the afro-brazilian culture, but also the belief that children and adolescents are the most precious energy of every nation. For 30 years Projeto Axé has been helping more than 35.000 children and adolescents in Salvador de Bahia. With the encouragement of teachers and educators kids can discover their own identity and ambitions, through education and artistict activities. Because arts are the essence of any educational act.

Our contribution

Educational program for children, adolescents and street youth living in extreme conditions of poverty, aimed to reintegrate them into their families and the society.
