The project in brief

Presidio culturale Permanente negli Istituti Penali per Minorenni is a national project to educate feelings and investigate the experiences of juveniles in penal institutions through music and theatre.

Our contribution

The project is active in 7 out of 17 penal institutions in Italy, namely Acireale, Catanzaro, Airola, Rome, Cagliari, Turin and starting in Treviso.  The cultural presidium foresees 2 meetings per week, 12 months per year, with qualified trainers and artists guiding the minors in writing and recording rap music and staging plays. 
Among the trainers and artists involved in the project are rappers such as Lucariello, Kento, Zu Luciano, Dinastia, Oyoshe, Nemesi, 1989, Valanga and theatre trainers such as Pino Beato, Lello Genovese, Fabrizio Nardi, Mauro Mou, Lara Farci and educators Nancy Cassalia and Lucia Quattrini. On the theatre project in Airola in collaboration with the Manovalanza Association.
