Where
Italy, VeronaThe project in brief
School as a place for permanent training, open to families and to the society, which allows each individual pupil to best express potentials, interests, attitudes and talents. An open educational community that works in synergy by implementing active and participatory teaching strategies and methods. The goal is to enrich the skills of all students, necessary for self-knowledge, autonomy, the ability to know how to design, to think of themselves as active individuals and citizens. The project provides, in addition to systematic and permanent training of teachers, multidisciplinary courses in co-presence with experts (atelieristas). A different model of school, with a strong inclusive and orienting profile in which the school subjects are integrated into real life.
In Verona it involves 12 comprehensive schools, 22 schools (12 primary and 10 1st grade secondary schools).
Fondazione Cariverona's Cantiere Nuova Didattica project took on the Disegnare il Futuro Model in 2018, bringing it to new provinces in Italy (Ancona, Belluno, Mantua, Vicenza).
